DUI checkpoint

Do you ever stop to think about how many people on the road with you are driving drunk?

I went to cover a DUI checkpoint in Sand Springs Friday night, Aug. 24. Police and sheriffs were pulling cars over left and right. Most of the infractions were minor, like driving under suspension or something. (That's what the girl being arrested had -- plus some warrants).

But before long, they'd already arrested some guys for DUI.

One man drove through the barricade, down the wrong way. He said he didn't see any cop cars, and, of course, only had two beers. He was arrested.

The guy being given the test there was cut loose, by the way. Don't know the story on the big Indian in cuffs.
